Villamar has a vision to provide a quality experience centred around food inspired by the Marra family’s Italian-South African heritage.  At its core lie three basic elements of good Italian fare: freshly roasted coffee, good quality cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil, and aged balsamic vinegar from Modena Italy.

Through hard work, intense passion and dedication Villamar and all its working facets have done exactly what they set out to. From the lingering smell of roasting coffee beans to the delicious taste of fresh baked bread, they have created a place of perfection. They produce freshly baked breads and patisseries for service in the restaurant or to be distributed to customers on order. 

A gelato machine, imported from Italy and one of only a handful currently in South Africa, has been churning non-stop since its arrival.

Villamar creates its own cured meats and freshly made pastas and pasta pockets with deliciously fresh filings.  Bressaola, prosciutto, salami, pancetta, and a coffee cured, smoked bacon is on the menu along with vegetables and herbs from the garden and free-range eggs from the hens on the farm.  With the savvy, passionate and creative team, products appear on the shelves that are manufactured on site, such as the Italian spaghetti and pomodoro sauce, no added sugar jams made from only the best fruit pickings, fresh pressed apple, orange, cranberry, and mixed berry juice and so much more.

Lastly, of course, one can find their coffees on the shelves to purchase or enjoy them in the coffee shop with some of their baked treats or a heavenly breakfast.
